Sewing Machine Basics

Congratulations on your purchase of a new sewing machine, and Thank you for your Business. The purpose of this class is to help you with the basics of your sewing machine. We cover threading, winding bobbins, needles preventative Maintenance, etc.

Basic Sewing

On going Sessions $10 ea

The class meets every first and third Thursday and is geared to the beginning sewers as well as the more advance sewers from 9 to 90. Do you have projects half done at home and need help to complete it, bring it to class! In my class you bring your own projects and learn how to sew anything from home decor to quilting and clothing. You will learn how to use your purchased patterns. Topics covered will include cutting out patterns, straight and curved seams, hems, zippers, waist bands, set in sleeves, button holes, collars, etc. If you have a specific project you wish to learn to sew or have questions on what would be good to sew, call Samantha and talk to her about it!

Basic Sewing

Whether you are a beginner or just need a little help finishing a project, this is the class for you. Doing your mending or looking for a quiet place to sew! This class is for you, come join us on Thursday evenings. All ages welcome. Do you want to learn how to read patterns? Be sure to bring your sewing machine book with you so we can help you learn more about your machine.

Soup, Serge, and Sew with Samantha

Okay Ladies, Here’s the chance you have been waiting for to start or finish up projects on your serger or sewing machine that have been sitting around the house!!! Samantha teaches Basic sewing and Serger classes. offering an evening to come and relax, eat soup, chit-chat and serge and sew like crazy! This is a fantastic chance to learn from your projects as well as being inspired by others! Samantha will provide the soup, bread and beverage. Garment Construction Classes

This class is for those who want to make any kind of garment for yourself or family member. Any Age and skill level of sewer is Welcome. We will cover all aspects of garment construction, from picking out a pattern, fabric, measuring for the best fit, zippers, buttonholes etc. I was a Home Education teacher with a major in clothing and textiles and can help you with most problems.

Japanese Vest


Two sessions $40.00

This simple vest made without a pattern but using your individual measurements can show just how simple it is make your own pattern for simple clothing. The first session will be 3 hours for measuring and the second session a full day constructing a very comfortable and simple vest that can look as if it was purchased in a high end boutique.
